Who makes the app
Xeno Configurator is a third-party app developed by the XENO board manufacturer. BJSABER is not affiliated with the app’s development. If you run into issues with the app itself (crashes, missing features), contact the XENO app developer first — we can help with hardware-side questions like Bluetooth pairing.
What the app does
- Connect to your saber via Bluetooth — XENO (Neopixel) sabers get the full feature set; XRGB (Baselit) sabers connect too, with a subset of features (a Baselit board has fewer controllable functions by design).
- Change blade color, sound font, and volume.
- Adjust motion control sensitivity (pull-push, twist, swing).
- Update saber firmware (when available).
Connection feels unstable? Bluetooth can struggle when the saber battery is low, on iPhones, or inside thick-walled hilts that shield the signal. The reliable fix: unscrew the hilt and take the core out, then connect your phone directly to the bare core — it pairs much more easily. Configure everything, then seat the core back in the hilt.

After installation
Open the app and grant the requested permissions — Bluetooth on iOS, Bluetooth + Location on Android. Android requires Location permission for Bluetooth scanning; see why the app asks for location permission.
