How do I install a replacement New Core?

Quick answer

For XENO: remove battery and SD card from your old Core, install them into the new Core, then place the new Core into the hilt. For XRGB: remove battery from old Core, install in new Core, place in hilt. The new Core is a direct swap — no firmware changes needed.

XENO version (with SD card)

  1. Remove the battery and SD card from your original Core.
  2. Install the battery and SD card into the New Core.
  3. Place the New Core into the Hilt as usual.

XRGB version (no SD card)

  1. Remove the battery from your original Core.
  2. Install the battery into the New Core.
  3. Place the New Core into the Hilt as usual.

After installation

Power on the saber. It should behave exactly like the original Core. If you have issues, the SD card may be loose — power down, remove, reseat, retry.
