Setup & Use

Why is my saber hot near the emitter?

Quick answer

It is normal for the LED in the emitter to generate heat. The aluminum hilt diffuses most of it. Just do not turn on the electronics outside of a hilt, as the heat may damage the chassis without the aluminum emitter to diffuse it.

When to worry

If the hilt becomes too hot to hold for more than 30 seconds, or if you smell burning plastic, power off immediately and contact support.

Tip

Give the saber 2-3 minutes to cool between long dueling sessions. This extends LED lifespan and is more comfortable to hold.
