Motion Control

Pull-Push On/Off: how does it work, and what’s the best sensitivity?

Quick answer

When the saber is off, quickly pull the hilt toward you and push it away — this ignites the blade. The same motion extinguishes it. Sensitivity default: 18 for ignition, 13 for extinguish. Lower = harder to trigger accidentally, higher = easier to trigger.

How to use

  1. Hold the saber firmly in your dominant hand.
  2. Pull the saber toward your body (about 6 inches / 15 cm).
  3. Immediately push the saber away from your body.
  4. The blade ignites.
  5. Repeat the motion to extinguish.

Sensitivity

App default is 18 (ignition) / 13 (extinguish) out of a 0-1000 scale. Lower values require more deliberate motion (less accidental triggering). Higher values trigger with smaller motion (more convenient but more false triggers).

Best for

Dueling, where you want a quick ignite without a button press. Not ideal for display pieces that should stay off on a stand.
